Japanese-speaking System Engineer
A leading automotive Tier-1 supplier is seeking individuals to join their Engineering Team in Texas to work as a System Engineer. The successful candidate will work with OEM customers and the internal engineering team to develop automotive infotainment systems.

Responsibilities:
- Lead specification development for infotainment systems regarding HMI, connectivity, audio, radio, and other features and functions by working closely with OEM customer
- Negotiate requirements with OEM customer when necessary
- Provide onsite support at customer sites to analyze and discuss technical issues
- Capture and analyze in-vehicle/ internal bus data to resolve issues
- Communicate analysis findings and customer requirements to the core engineering team in Japan
- Prepare and support design reviews and technical review meetings with OEM customers for system-level engineering issues.
- Work on and negotiate validation test plans and requirements with OEM customer
Requirements
- Ability to speak Japanese is a must (Visa support is available for qualified candidates)
- Experience in a customer facing role
- Experience working with automakers in an electrical, software, or systems role
- Experience testing in-vehicle and bench level
- Experience with CAN implementation and familiarity with vehicle CAN principles
- Ability to understand electrical schematics and block diagrams
- Hands-on experience with electrical tools such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Work authorization in US
- Valid US driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with automotive infotainment products (radios, navigation, amplifier, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Bluetooth and WiFi technologies
- Knowledge of serial communications like I2C and UART
- Experience with Telematics
- Understanding of cellular communications: GSM, CDMA, LTE, 3G/4G, etc.
- Cellular/RF communications analysis tools such as spectrum analyzer, QXDM
- Basic programming skills, and understanding of Linux shell
- Knowledge about validation requirements for automotive applications
- Master’s degree in the aforementioned majors is preferred
