Validation Test Engineer
In this position, you will develop software test plans and perform functional testing for In-Vehicle Infotainment systems on benches and in vehicles at our client facility.

Responsibilities:
- Validation and verification of In-Vehicle Infotainment system on benches and in test vehicles
- Setting up test environment and benches
- Execute test cases and report test results with supporting data
- Capture all necessarily logs and report bugs to developers
- Implement test strategies that adequately assess all software aspects
- Work with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Track and document all testing defects and resolutions
- Participate in the design and development of test cases and support
Requirements
- Experience with software testing
- Experience with automotive electronics
- Knowledge or experience with CAN network and CAN tools
- Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA and Redmine
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Strong root-cause analysis skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to isolate problems, assess the issue and clearly communicate the source and symptoms of the problem to others
- Willing to work fast-paced projects
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to keep detailed records
- Good communication skills to work with other teams and our clients
- Proficiency with PC software (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
- Legal work authorization in the US
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in testing automotive infotainment systems
- Experience with embedded systems
- Experience with Android and Linux OS
- Familiarity with WiFi and Bluetooth
- Familiarity with Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST)
- Experience in creating test plans and test cases based on technical specifications
- Previous experience with leading a team and managing a projects is a plus.
- Ability to speak Japanese is a big plus but not required
